| 眾所周知，Intel雖然佔據著圖形市場的絕大部分份額，其集成顯卡性能卻一直為人詬病，獨立顯卡計劃Larrabee也基本胎死腹中，但是在Intel看來，絕大多數人根本不需要什麼高性能的顯卡。 Intel高級副總裁Dadi Perlmutter在接受採訪時表示：「人們一說起圖形，就會想到3D戰爭遊戲之類的。我不反對這種觀點，但(3D遊戲)的受眾範圍非常狹窄。……我認為絕大多數消費者真正想要的是媒體(應用)。」之後他又補充說，自己使用筆記本觀看和編輯視頻的時間要多得多，遊戲則沒那麼重要。 他繼續說，「我認為誰的圖形(性能)更好並不會帶來明顯差別……超越圖形之外的功能才是關鍵所在」，在主流圖形處理器中集成更多功能、延長電池續航時間才更重要。 嗯，說得很有道理，不過Intel的集成顯卡發展至今無論性能還是功能都完全無法和NVIDIA、AMD的方案相提並論，好在Intel也在不斷進步，特別是現在已經在桌面、移動、上網本等多個領域都將圖形核心整合到了處理器內部，功能方面也在不斷完善。 Perlmutter還一語雙關地說：「公平來講，AMD和ATI在過去幾年裡確實擁有比Intel更好的集成圖形方案，但今年除外。」 |
